No worries, pretty sure 5v is up around where it should be at WOT.
If you have any dramas mate feel free to give me a ring and come round. |

Scaffy/schnoods people pulling similar power etc.
I wouldn't bother rebuilding the diff. It will go again far too quickly.
Admittedly, I don't treat my car nicely, but I don't kill it either. I had my diff rebuilt by AD Diffs. Packed nice & toight. It was gone again all of 2-3 months later.
Apparently it is now pretty much totally destroyed, so I'll be saving for that Kaaz (among a few other things) sooner than planned. |

Another good reason not to try and do s**t in the dark... I had the red in the red but could've sworn it was green!

Nice.
Are you happy with where base idle is sitting? If you want to change it remember to set base idle where you want it, then adjust TPS to the new setting. |

Base idle is fine. I need to get the right strategy for the tweecer so I can can the speed limiter as it cuts in at 150 now with the gearing change.
edit: looks like I won't be getting that strategy any time soon... will have to disconnect from EEC

Hmm, that should be corrected with the speedo corrector, or you can get the module to remove it. PM 66 coupe, i belive he deals with that stuff.
I have a 6DFC here but no 6DFD. |

| That's ok mate, I have the jaycar speedo corrector unit which will go in when I have time. Just need a quick fix before tomorrow night, so I can take it down the strip. |

I cut the wire to the EEC. It controls dashpot and speedlimiter, so my revs drop quickly on gear changes which is a bit of a downer. All the more reason to change quicker. I haven't tested the speed limiter yet. Will have to save it for the track to see. I hope it works or I'll be spewing.
I'm a bit reluctant to put the speedo corrector together myself. I've got a very short attention span which tends to lead to impatience which then leads to breaking stuff... Maybe do a few bits at a time.
How do you find the gears Jas? |

I like em. But I felt I should've gone higher. 3.9's might have been better, I reckon 4.11's would be awesome If the car didnt have to be driven every now and then, just solely at the strip.
But overall cruising its a great gear, I plan to put more power into it, so it might be a wait and see thing too
But I will well and truly find out tomorrow, when we race for pinkslips, I mean time slips. |

Yeah, some pretty good news...
On my first run I ran a 13.73@100mph with a 2.000 60'. I think the gears paid off!
My second run was the same time and 60' except I cracked a 101mph.
3rd run saw my best time of the night. 13.614@101.23mph. I aced the launch with a 1.940 60 footer. After that I stayed around the 13.7s with flat 2.0 60's for a while before the clutch started to become a problem and the times were creeping up with the 60's |

Cheers Gregg, I'm very happy with the results. I thought there was a bit more in it, but the times started creeping up after that. I need to give it a bit more breath up top now to get that mph up a bit.
I was in the Perth Falcons lane so it was good to go up against a few of the other guys. I would've liked to get in the mix with some of the VEs and VZs. Maybe I'll head down again next Wednesday. |
