The hi series Pioneer factory speakers from Ford are quite nice...
Free air sub and 2-way shelf speakers. Big improvement on the lower models. Can you see where this is headed?

Is that like what you want?

Cheers,
C

strathfield at last check has a shallow 8" free to air pioneer that would suit you nicely.

just make sure the sub is free to air !!!!

normal or enclosure subs won't sound anywhere near as good in the parcel tray unless you box it in underneath.

^^^ wow there you go.

when i was looking back in 2004 all i could find was 10" free airs.

i ended up getting a 12" in a box and just made it easy to get in and out. sat it above the diff hump, so no real lost space. maybe consider that option too

they are hard to find shop around. The standard ford subs in the ef xr8 was a 8 inch free to air. I've also heard that a 10 inch will also fit with some small modification.

Try Jaycar, they have an 8" sub with a massive 4" voice coil, though they are 8 ohms which will work on a stereo amp when bridged. You can get a dvc 8" on ebay for about $60 as well.....
