This modification document provides instructions on how to fit MK2 Ghia handles to your MK1 or MK2 Falcon/XR/GT/ GT-P Or Ute variant. This modification is very easy and shouldn’t take any more than 5-10 Minutes to install all of them!
Tools required:
Phillips and Flat blade Screwdriver
Parts required:
4 x Chrome Handles from a MK2 Fairlane Ghia or LTD

Removal
To remove the handle simply pop the retaining screw cover with a small flat blade screwdriver.
Remove the retaining screw by using a Phillips head screw driver. You can now pull the handle outwards from the door trim to remove the latch release cable.
Remove the cable from the handle by pulling it outwards from the handle.
Remove the handle from the release cable by rotating the retaining pin sideways, then sliding the retaining pin upwards, the handle should now be free to remove from the vehicle.
Installation
To install the handles, grab your new chrome handles and slide the retaining pin into the handle retainer as per removal.
Clip the latch release cable into the handle.
Put the handle into the door trim and move it till it sits in position.
Put the Phillips head retaining screw back in.
Place the retaining screw cover back on by pushing it into the hole.
Repeat this process till to the remaining 3 doors. Congratulations you have now successfully installed Chrome handles into your vehicle.
