Can anyone help. I can only turn the radio cassette player off in my AU1998 by pushing the knob on the unit it will not turn off when the ignition is turned off

| No the unit has been in the car since new.I have tried disconnecting the battery and re-enteriig the security code but no luck' |

| If you can remove the unit and test the accessory power it should go off with the ignition, if not its probarbly worthwhile investing an a new HU. If only you were in melbourne id help you out. |

| yeah dude ure remote wire is fried, happens some time for no reason, any audio store can fix it for ya 4 next to nick if you can't do it yourself |

| come to think of it i think that the accessory power comes via a relay off the ignition, ill have a look in my manual tonight for you and see. will get back to you. it could be a stuck relay even. |

It sounds like that deack has been removed and not installed correctly.
12v+ive and accesory are around the wrong way! I'll put money on it! |

| Sounds like a problem with the unit itself, if you have had no new electrical items installed in the car recently then the old head deck might need an upgrade. |
