| I see. will be investigating a 12 month working visa to the UK so I may have to shelve my plans of doing up the AU any further which is a shame, but i will still watch this space very closely incase I do end up camming it... |

| I picked up the cam yesterday, i will book it in next week to get the cam in. I'm just wondering how the ECU will cope with it. Because i will be getting the unichip a little bit later on now. |

and by the looks of that cam spec the computer SHOULD handle it no worries at all. you just might need a bit more juice up top... |

IF it needed more juice the uni chip should be able to fix no worries, i dont think it would need more though.
If it was VERY lean you would need injectors. |

yep 1636 to 977b
The 977b made the most power in mine so far. I went with a larger Wade cam and made slightly less power & torque.
Because yours is auto though, for a top end cam to work well, you would need shorter diff gears |

| ok, with the 1671 spec sheet on the other page is there much difference between that and the 977B? I will be getting different gears. But i might need a different housing by the looks of it. |

the 1671 specs seem to be closer to the e-series 1673 cam.
I tried using that "cam cat" program to see whats available for the AU and it confused the f**k out of me. |

yeah i dunno how he f**k it last time, the cam only goes on one way onto the cam gear because of the keyway.
Simple as keeping tension onto the chain and removing the bolt on the cam gear sprocket and swapping cams over. Also fitting shims into the rocker arms if its a regrind.....
I'd be spending money on diff ratio change next if i were you |

as long as you get the gears from an r31 the gears will fit fine. had no probs fitting em in the au. good luck finding 3.7's from the r31 manual though, you will find pintara 4.11's everywhere, best bet is 3.89 from the r31 auto. |

| you will probably still get 75-80 from first i got 65 from first with 4.11s which was good i thought and highway cruising is 2300 at 100. |
