Its bloody impossible!!! Tried about 8 wreckers in my area and not one of them even had a fairmont ghia in!
Genuine part is about $110 - $160 so i'm p****d now!
Anyone got one they want to get rid of? I'll pay for of course. Grey colour please!!! |

Have you tried Andy's Auto's in Cambellfield? They had a NF Fairlane in a couple of weeks ago so I'm guessing they would still have it. I think from memory it has a grey interior and I'm sure it still had the console in it.
His number is 9357 3577.
It might be worth a try. It's all I can really think of for now.

Why not just cut your single din one carefully if its THAT hard to track one down lately?
The double DIN one ford makes is a single DIN that has been cut lol; look closely a the edges!
PS its not just my 2 cars that has this as they have both got parts from new with double DIN stereos.  |

no need to rub in the fact ur car came with them standard
i might have to resort to cutting it and get another standard one as when i sell the car i'd rather sell it all together and tidy once i remove the TV. |

Thats it - its a lot easier to pay less for a std single DIN one and *carefully* hack it up lol! (honestly so long as you cut it straight you shouldnt be able to tell the differtence hehe.)
Or maybe put up on here that you want one in the wanted section as you may very well get luvky, its been known to happen.  |

WHy not get one from a cab, and hack THAT one up? (There should be plenty of stock Grey EF/L interiors at wreckers....)
Then keep YOUR clean unmarked one for when you sell it. |
