I got a general question for y'all. U know does lil computers with the little blu screen dat people put into rice cars (called a SAFC). Its meant to be like a fuel to air ratio thing. What i want to know is, what can it do for our fords?

Basically you just want a pretty little blue screen, and then you'll decide what it will do? icon_lol.gif

you want a apexi rsm, rev speed meter, they will go on any efi car, the others steer clear as they are mainly for turbo cars...
rsm tells you 1/4 mile time , compensates for wheel spin and they are about 350-400 depending on where you go, you can also get a ad on for it called the g sensor, can measure your g's aswell
just a expensive more advanced gtech,
cheers

The question has to be asked BOUNCN, What car do you actually drive? What is this computer supposed to be going into? You sound like your giving 'rice' a bit of a bagging, but you write just like a rice driver talks...

I am beginning to wonder if your having a bit of a lend of us icon_confused.gif

I think if you dont know what this computer is able to do, you probably arent going to know how to tune it to your car for optimal performance. Spend your money on tried and tested mods...

Basically... yep. I'd be very wary of such a device.

Really all it does is modify the aiflow signal the factory computer is seeing. So for any given amount of airflow, the AFC will adjust the reading that EEC sees - by up to 50%. Thus, allowing you to richen/lean fuel ratio out at any given airflow.

From what i understand, EEC is very good at learning around these devices. And you will most likely need to have it tuned by a pro. I'm also unsure if a Ford EEC MAP sensor will work with it as i think they use a frequency voltage as opposed to a 0-5V system the AFC is designed for.

So either way - make sure you research it well before forking out the $$$
