Is it recommended I upgrade a few more bits and pieces before splashing out on a s/c?
Currently, I've got an AU (180,000km on the clock) with only K&N filter and 2.5" Exhaust set-up.
I think I'd prefer to get a charger in there ASAP, then upgrade after that, but is there anything I'll need first? |

| Some extractors and high flow cat would be beneficial, apart from that just bolt the kit on. Depending whose kit you go with as to how complete it is. The ProStreet system is 100% complete so you won't have to hunt up anything else, bolt on and boost |

| So with your setup and my current exhaust (see sig), is it possible to put out 200rwkw? That's the goal for now. I might hang out til there's a bit more info on the intercooler kits. How much would you guys charge to install the whole lot? I know it's supposed to be reasonably simple to install yourself, but I'd feel better getting the experts to do it for me. |

If those headers 4490's are the Comp type you will be at peak something over 200RWKW i'd say.
If they are the torque type you might be under the 200 mark but only just under, but have a wall of torque relative to peak power. |

4499's are the torque type. I've got them, a 2.5" system (NFI which one) with centre muffler and rear resonator, and a 3" metal-cored cat.
Haven't got my Raptor on yet though. Had 4 weeks of pneumonia, 1 dogwatch back at work and I'm f*cked again
At least my eventual 400m time will be better for it, I've shed 10kg in the last month It all helps...

Anyone know what the average AU would hold as far as rwkw being as old as they are? I know the 4.0 Intech sedans were supposedly 157kw when first released, but was that at the wheels?
I'm guessing with my mods (or lack thereof), the most I could have right now would be around 130kw.
If this is the case, 200rwkw is going to be a pretty insane step up. I'm excited. |

| Yep, 157kw is at the flywheel, so your rear wheel estimate would be pretty close. 200rwkw will be awesome. That's great power for a daily driver. |

Manufacturers' quoted power figures are ALWAYS at the flywheel. They never quote RWKW as it's too easy for the motoring press to put cars on a dyno and expose under- or over-quoting of power figures, or massive variations between cars.
A bog stock auto MPEFI (ie not HP or VCT) AU would do 100-105rwkw. With your mods, somewhere between 115-125rwkw. So stepping up to 200 is nearly doubling the stock output. No wonder you're excited. |

Ok, I'm now even more excited. I'll be heading into centrelink tomorrow to apply for student payments to put towards this thing. Government dollars towards my car ftw!
Only concern now is what if its too powerful for a youngen like me? |

It's not like a turbo where full boost arrives all at once. With a centri blower boost builds with revs. So just ease into it. Maybe change up at 3500rpm at first to get a taste, then when that's tame, up it to 4000rpm and so on. |

All the estimations fit exactly with what I found on my AU, 123rwkw stock and up to 201rwkw with boost

| Not much info ATM, I need to solve my leaky intake first. Then a dyno run on petrol, then start tuning the gas to deliver the full rev range. |

Hi guys
Im also a very keen contender for a charger kit but firstly just a few q?
The base figures of 200rwk mark for ef/el whats to say if u have a turbo muffler bigger throttle body and aftermarket cam woudl this factor in to make say 10 more rwkk is that safe to presume
Also im a great beliver that u shouldnt have to set yourself up to say i expect at least a flat 14 or it shoudl do 13.8 down the quater because its a street driver car and it shoudl be how it feels in day to day drives flat out for 400m isnt such a rush for myself as punching the throttle througha corner with a little sideway action.
Futher more my best quarter time so far is 15.1 and i have 146rwk and its still very torque and happy in the streets just as it is, couldnt imagine how much more fun it woudl be to have an extra 50-60rwk
Just my 2 cents |

Yes it will make more but i don't know how much more.
Yes sideways in 2nd on the rev limiter round a corner is a buzz.
Man it's way more fun. |

The better cam (providing its suited) is always going to crank up the numbers a bit, the 10rwkw is a nice conservative estimate, I have no problem with that at all. Check with EA about the tuning hey and see what he can do for you |
