It must calculate the figure "on the fly", so its probably assuing you'll be driving at 5000rpm in first gear for the whole trip, but would that even be possible to use 99L driving like that? No way i reckon.

Also this is an i6 engine yeah? TECHNICALLY under new P Plate laws, we could run one of these in our Falcons and still be legal. But then Power to Weight ratio would be over yeah?

How much does the Average EL Falcon weigh? Gotta be under 125kw per tonne of power to be legal.

well if you do an engine replace, thats fine. but i really doubt too many people will bother to actually measure the size or power. least till your destroying tyres from a 100kph rolling start.

not that we condone hooning or p platers having more pwr than they should icon_wink.gif

hanging out still to hear what it puts out...!

Thats true, i don't condone hooning but some people can be REAL edgy when they see a red "P" hanging on the window which calls for a full inspection on your car.

I'm waiting excitedly too.

im pretty sure it only goes up to 99, because it stayed on 99 from 2500 to 5000rpm when it should be updating every second lol. im guessing it actually did about 120/130 icon_razz.gif icon_lol.gif

Pardon my stupidity ,but does this package just contain new pistons, rods, crank etc and retain stock block? or is the existing block bored out? As a P plater I'm very intrigued! Combined with new cams/valves, port/polish, it would be absoltely evil!
AUXR82- what's the note like on it? When do you estimate this being available and will the price exceed $2000?

When the motor is opened up that much, wouldn't you need revised maps and stuff in the ECU and fuel system changes maybe ?

Would it be wise for me to get some head work done now or just wait til this comes?

Would getting some head work done now just be a waste of $$?

I reckon she'll make somewhere between 180-195. Remembering this is a plugged up (stock filter and zorst) motor I assume that's a reasonable guess.
