a friends EA wouldnt start so i thought id have a look and see if i could fix it...
well after changing the starter, b**ch job on MPEFI, checking relay and inhibitor switch, checking connections etc I found the problem...
if anyone knows there is a diode that goes across the starter relay.. I pulled it out and blew out all the dust and crap that was in the plug, put it back in and whamo it started straight away...
I only tried this as a last desperate effort....
has anyone else experienced this weirdness? and why would it cause such a problem? |
