today a soaroar line up with me at the lights on the gt western HWY at Minchinbury that part of the HWY has 3 lane and is straight as a steel pole,
the soaroar was a 6 twin turbo well the lights went green he got the jump but as soon as the shift kit went into 2nd gear it was all over for him I smoked him for s**t at least 1-2 car lengths I wonder how I would go against a V8 soaroar? |

| i would think the turbo soarer would smoke a 4.0 v8 soarer. i cant imagine a toyota v8 would be anything to tell your girlfriend abouit. |

| The V8 soarer is definately the better machine. The TT soarers would be good if they had the same turbo setup as the Supra (sequential) but they don't. |

Yep the soarers are a bloody nice car, Can't go past a '32 active suspension, bloody s**t on aussie cars. check out www.planetsoarer.com I know what i'd rather my '92Ghia or a '92 V8 Soarer, just don't like the insurance part. Supercharge a soarer for 6k and look out I say.

| Problem with Soarers I have heard, is that they have a lot of electrical gremlins that require lots of money to fix, being an import of course. |

Lol, ever seen behind the back seat of a fully optioned import?!? Box for tv tuner, box for satnav, box for active suspension, box for cd player, box for body control....
Crazy technology, light years ahead of us! |

| i like the V8 Soarers, they are one of the best imports IMO, there's no way i'd get a 6 tho, 3.0 6 or the twin turbo 2.5 litre one, they both suck, go the V8, better sound, alot more power can be made out of it, and from what i heard they don't use to much fuel, but they rev very good and very quick rev out too. |

Ive always wanted to put the soarer v8 into a falcon - seems like a nice mod really. I get my V8, I keep 4.0 Litres. Mmmmmm
Of course, the fact that they sound very nice and are alloy isnt lost on me either.

Nice cars, i really like them.
Altho ive been in the v8 and TT recently and must say the TT feels fast off the line but its not a rocket ship!
The v8 sounds nice but i dont know how fast they are, i ran up against one once and beat it - im told there must have been something wrong with it tho as aparently it should be able to take me.. go figure.
I dont care how fast they are they are nice cars and i would look at one if i was in the market. |

Means you could keep the '4.0 OHC' badges
It wouldn't be a lye, just not the WHOLE truth. |

a soarer v8 in a falcon would go like s**t, falcons weigh way too much, also a v8 soarer will s**t on the 5 litre falcon |

Been against a v8 soarer in both my cars and sorry to say its not true; the 4l 8s arent very fast up untill about 60-70, they sound fkn awesome and go well after that tho..
I still think they are nice, wouldnt take too much to make them move!
And yes, 1600 at least, add passenger/driver/fuel/extra options on the car.. not light cars at all. |

IIRC the 91-95 soarer made 191kw at the engine, not sure about the older versions.
I assume they are all autos, being a luxury car and all...
1640kg kerb weight

Yer, all autos..
I spoke to a guy that brought one thathad a manual out in by the pervious owner, aparently it was off a supra or something - made it a lot more responsive he said, well obviously..
I still think they ae fkn heavy and with auto, 190kw at the fly, not like we couldnt keep up. |

Hi all
The v8 soarers are line ball to 120 with a ba 6 but when you fit a supercharger to the soarer its a different story as my girlfriend found out when she tried to drag my car off.
The 6 cylinder soarer is alot faster than the v8 but they dont have all the goodies like height adjust suspension tv memory seats ect. |
