anyone know where I can get a 104 pin socket (Male)? I want to make up an adapter to plug my motec loom into my current 104pin (Female) ECU loom plug.

This way I can easily switch between EEC-V, and M800+EEC-V Piggyback icon_biggrin.gif

Edit: I have a feeling I might need to 'wreck' a 104pin ECU icon_razz.gif

Electrajet do a harness with both male/female parts of the EEC-V connector.

- see H007

http://www.electra.com.au/harness.htm

But i dare say it would be cheaper to get a dud EEC and rip the male socket off the case.

Lol, can get breakout boxes from the USA.... @ USD$500 odd.....

Yikes.

this is more what I was thinking

I was a bit concerned as to how i'd add pins, but it looks like all the pins terminate on a PCB. yum!

Sorry about the large image size- blame Pete icon_biggrin.gif (I dont have any img editors with me atm)

Edit -
s**t, sorry, I have a female 104 pin socket lying around if you want it.
Its from an EF Fairmont 6cyl.

I had an EF 6cyl, 3.08 Auto computer lying around before, but I gave it to H&H Security for one of the ex cab patrol cars which was playing up

Hey Matti,

I decided to splurge and buy a few EF ECU's today. I'll just gut one of them.

I'll be replacing the ECU/Engine loom in the waggin with virgin loom.. the one which is in there atm has been hacked up for the Unichip.. I'll end up using its plug and a few other things off it.

Thanks anyway :d
