it probably isnt too hard but i believe you need custom made rails as the ford ones dont work with the adapters as far as i know. and if you want to do the right thing you probably need an engineers certificate for it.

Most after market seats come with an installation manual and a bolting kit.
The EF is a well known model but sadly the rails aren't compatible but if you do find the right bolt on kit it should adapt on kind of like whel adapters icon_wink.gif

Yeah the Recaro option or a nice alternative SAAS racing seats should go right in but yes you need custom rails which I know can be sourced via SAAS suppliers to fit EF/ELs dont know bout recaros - probably use the same rails.

Well, if your not going to go sports seats, then either repair your old one or get new/second hand ones, and get seat covers or recover them in something you like. But sports seats would be pretty cool in it.

Has anyone had their old seats stripped and redone as sport seats(ie: weld extra frames on and extra foam)

EF/EL fairmont seats will bolt straight into any other EF/EL. only issues are with the trims having electric window winders for the rear (which XR's etc dont have). so you will have to sort something out for that. and longer wheel based ones (i.e. fairlane) the rear seats have to have some extra holes drilled... icon_razz.gif
