VERY easy to do.

However to keep it legal, you'll still need a licensed installer to 'connect' the service lines.

You'll also need to get a compliance certificate and then take the paperwork to Vic Roads to have the AAFRB registered.

This doesn't cost anything at Vic-roads and you don't need to take the car in.

Its really simple, as you undo it, do it again on the other car. I've done two cars recently including an EL XR, really straight forward.

you bet you do. you need to show proof of payment for parts, proof of payment of installation or certification and your rego papers. a week or so later, 2 grand in the bank.

both, doesn't matter if the total doesn't reach two grand because you are allowed to use second hand parts.

I think the biggest reason for refusal is the overwhelming demand for installations. I found a couple of smaller guys who don't really advertise the fact that they do installs and they were happy to help.

I think averagely you are looking at starting around $2500 for a basic LPG installation. I know my BA was worth $4500 for injected. You need to pay for it in full then once the application is done you get $2000 back.

What I did with my old XF is bought an in date complete system out of the paper to suit the same car for $110. I sold the mixer that came with it for $50 so it only really owed me $60. I then had an in date tank, convertor and all the little bits and pieces you need. I bought new tank brackets, new flexible lines and a new straight LPG mixer to suit the clevo. Once done I think it owed me about $500. The installer charged me $95 to certify it.
Once I got the $2000 rebate back, the difference covered my rego and engineering certificate for the engine and other mods.
