My immobiliser computer under the dash crapped itself and wouldn't let me start the car with the key, so i bypassed it with a push button... was gunna grab a new computer this week but i kinda like the button so i might hold out for a while... It's funny watching a Ford dealer salesman, try to start a GT, have it not work, then assume the battery is dead and run off for a jump pack. By the time he got back, I reached in and hit the button.
Me I'm so used to the starter button, my hand instinctively reaches over for a non-existent button on the work BF. |

Would the button be suitable for installation to an EF/EL in the same manner I wonder? (without bypassing Smartlock?)
This seems pretty easy to do on the BA/BF of course, but it was designed with this model in mind |
