Well to me its interesting. I looked on it yesterday and didnt see anything like it on net in AUstralia. I dont really want to share but I will explain all in due course. Its nothing extragavant as Dnaiels setup, I dont have that kind of money, its the ideal of the setup that is unique.
Then again you guys might think its pretty crap but I think its a good diea and my mates who I have shared the idea also think its good.
Hopefully it will work.
Knowing me I will probably ask for advice with this. |

Hey david, cant wait to see your sunroof!
I havnt got my tuner yet, been meaning to for a while now but havnt gotten around to it yet.
my system isnt anything too "extravigent" like someone said, there are nicer here..
I plan to buy my tuner off ebay actually, im not keen on paying >1k RRP for it, and there are some real bargains to be had on ebay, just gotta know whats genuine and whats not!!
The TV tuner im looking it has to be a Pioneer GEX model due to all my stuff being pioneer so to date; which is no prob as quality has been v good so far. |

its funny, cos i got my 7" in dash dvd motorized screen with tv tuner all for less than $1k. its not exactly name brand, but the screen quality is up there with pioneer / clarion and the like.
i can't understand why ppl would pay anything near $1k for just a TV tuner on its own! |

Exactly my point!
No way id buy all my stuff nor the tuner for RRP, ebay is a great help, so id CAA.
I dont wish to pay "much" more than 300 for the tuner really to be honest, thats why ill wait till theres a few around, i dont need it that badly anywho! |

You'll find that most no-branders use the same screens as brand name products. So from a picture quality perspective, no branders are the same as branders.
Difference is in the drives/decoders/functions - which doesnt really matter so long as they play!!!
TV tuners are funny things. Even expensive ones which switch between 4 antennaes on the car to get the best picture will not always work very well.
I'm running my TV (screen with inbuilt tuner $180 off ebay) off the ford radio antennae. Doesnt work very well whilst driving but keen is the man who watches neighbours on the drive home from work! lol (works fine at traffic lights ) |

Hmm, no idea since I have not used digital TV yet I'll have to think about it... I would go with analog if I found a good (cheapish) tuner that works when moving, otherwise maybe digital... |
