Is that the MAP? And were the red arrow is, is that were there should be a vacum line connected to?
Couse there ain't no vacum line there. Any idea were the other end of the vacum line goes to, just to help me find it, or put a new one on if I can't!

Thats it alright, but remember that the MAP sensor isn't much use to you if you're running LPG icon_smile.gif

I ran my straight gas 4L without it.. ran alot better!

If you take a peek at this thread: http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7648, you'll see why I'm asking, but thanks for the tip on L.P.G.

Gotcha... and yeh, the symptoms you describe definantly mean no MAP signal to the ECU

Check for short/open circuit on the wires back to the ECU, if all else fails, try a MAP sensor from another 4L.

Cheers

I'll try another MAP sensor tomorrow. I'll also try the self test code thingos from the ECU. Cheers for the help.

By the way, jsut incase I need it, any idea what a new MAP sensor is gunna hit me for at Spare Parts? I guess it's a waste of time to buy second hand.

Rang ford spare parts at Tilford - $204 (said he could give me trade, but didn't mention what the discount is).
Repco Belrieve - $168.00.
Mornington Wrecker - $75.00 second hand and no garentee, offf a car that's been sitting there for at least 6 months now (couse that's about how long ago I raided it for something else).

But then, employees dsciount at Repco - $86.00.
