| If my MAF isn't reading airflow, the ECU wouldn't open the injectors would it? |

No if the EEC doesn't recieve any input the engine will still run on pre-determined maps. |

There is a "MAF Limp mode" map with axes TPS vs RPM. This will keep your engine running until you can fix it.
