It wasn't me mine was parked at home all day. The seats came up a treat too, looks good.
If you need a hand wiring wise, I've a weekend coming up..... Saturdays the 6th and 13th? Perhaps a mod day for Newie? |

Hey Mick
The seats came up great.
Looks real comfy, and very much in keeping with the rest of the car.
Now get your a** out of the back seat and finish the fronts.

OOOWWWW! Very Comfy haha! Thanks mate! I didn't get time to attack the fronts today, had to go to a BBQ and drink bourbon's (missus' orders lol), but I did get time to put my new heater tap in what a mongrel those spring clip thingies are (especially after a 6 pack of jimmy's ) But all is good, I didn't break anything, I was very calm and got them off eventually. (probably thanks to the jimmy's here too!)

Got the next piece to my LTD puzzle today. Should have them here next Wednesday. They are out of the same car as the seats I just purchased
All 4 cost me $80.

Hey Mick, they look great.
So by the time the Doyalson Show comes around you will be coming in your LTD instead of your Fairlane?

Well! That's another story Seems I have double booked my weekend and I am going on a boys trip to brisabne the same weekend as the doyalson show to watch the rugby league world cup final. I am hoping the missus will still go and put the lane (or LTD ) in and take some pics for me to show what I am going to miss. It's a pity the weekend has clashed with the boys trip, I love the Koala park event, they run a top show |

I have been asked by a couple of people to post up a pic of the twin system where it goes over the diff, so this one's for you lethal EA (Can't remember the other blokes name, but you know who you are )
I know it's not the prettiest job, but it sounds the goods, and that's the main thing isn't it |

Thanks Marsss,
It's a work in process
After the s**t weather yesterday, and the usual fathers day run-around, I finally found a couple of hours this arvo to throw the new door cards in. I have to say, the Lane/LTD door cards have to be the easiest to remove/fit that I have come accross, give me screws over those crappy plastic door clips anyday
I'm not 100% happy with the woodgrain. Think I might swap them with the old Lane wood. For some reason they used real wood for the Fairlanes and that crappy laminated wood look for the LTD??? |

cheers huggie,
Now I just have to wait for MRE-50L to start the dismantling process so that I can complete the transformation. Only then can I move on to some more serious mods in the performance department.
I met another fellow NC driver today, but not under the best circumstances I was heading over to the old mans place today, when I pulled up next to a pretty tidy example in the form of a White NC which had been dropped on it's guts with black stockies. We gave each other the old "nice car mate" wave and were heading up the road to a round-about. By this stage he was behind me (good apportunity for him to see the FM sticker on the back window ) and when it was my turn to enter the round-about..............BANG The f**k LPG backfired again, but not just once. I was rolling through the intersection in N and when it started again and I went to take off...........BANG again
Once I finally got through the intersection and into a side street, I pulled up to re-assemble the mess that usually happens.
I had just finished clipping the airbox lid back on when I hear "Do you need a hand mate" from behind me. The fella in the white NC had gone around the block and came back to see if I needed a hand. Nice young bloke and very rare for people to go out of their way to give others in need a hand.
Must just be NC drivers We have to stick together. I didn't think to mention FM or find out where he was from, but hopefully we'll meet again as I'm sure he would make a good member of the FM community.
There ya's go! A nice little story for this fathers day
Mick
PS. Time I booked in with Joe for a proper tune on the Dyno, can't handle much more of this backfiring s**t |

| I suppose a bang from the backfire is better than a bang from behind. Definately not running good if it is behaving like that. Must be costing a bomb on airboxes too. That back seat and trims look great too. Comfy leather lounge with a sweet V8 noise underneath. |
