Yeh, not sure why they look purple.. but they were glowing the brightest red/orange you could imagine..

Was the flash on? Tends to do that to things that are glowing when the flash is on.

130 was the max for the night. and that was in 4th gear pulling only about 3500rpm icon_biggrin.gif
And that's on a MDX dyno! icon_wink.gif
Did you run teh waggin on that dyno prior to fitting the Motec Brad ?.

Yeh.. previously she's run 109RWKW. Running so rich that the unburnt fuel was causing the AFR to read 16:1 icon_smile.gif Tip - Never run 24lb/hr injectors on an EEC in a 4L icon_smile.gif

In other news, I exceeded 90% duty cycle on the injectors on the weekend. Grr.. need bigger injectors!

Ouch. Was that WOT/high revs with a good afr? ...any scope to up fuel pressure? Better safe than sorry i suppose.... must be making impressive amounts of torque...

running a bit lean at 5989rpm, WOT.

Using seat of the pants, you can definantly feel it dropping off power toward 6000rpm. I assumed it was just running out of breath, but it seems to be fuel related icon_smile.gif

I'll probably just rev limit her at 5800rpm and wait til the turbo goes on, unless I can find some VERY cheap 32lb/hr injectors for the mean time.

Was it running lean, or were you getting a rich missfire?

Both will give you a lean reading. Rich missfire is like the name suggests. A missfire because the mixture's too rich. That gives you a lean reading because none of the fuel gets burnt so the exhaust fills with oxygen. Voila! There's you lean reading but you're actually running incredibly rich.

Also, spark timing will have an effect on AFR. If the spark is too retarded and teh charge in teh cylinder doesn't have enough time to burn completely, it will give you a leaner reading.
