Look inside the car. If it has a gear stick with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and R on it then its a manual one. If it has a shifter with P, R, N, D, 3, 2 and 1 on it then its an auto. Hope that helps icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif

Seriously I got no idea. I just wanted to be a smartass. Sorry. icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif

Sorry mate, there's no way to tell directly from the code/part #. You'll have to look the code up on some sort of register or ask around until you find someone with matching ECU and hopefully they can tell you what car it's from.

Mine is 92DT-12A650-AD so pretty bloody similar!

Also checked it against another ED XR6 Manual and it was the same.
So now I'm clueless as to why it's doin some weird idling s**t.

Ahh it's just fluctuating really bad from 500-1500, and if you rev it it hangs at about 2500.

I've played with a lot more than that!

Hehe it's had a BBM and Manual put in, the timing is advanced a bit and the base idle is adjusted so that it idles just nicely without the ISC.

Just take the lid off. You'll notice alot less drivers with plenty of empty space in a manual EB seriesII and up EEC.....no trans to drive y'see.
Your catch code is 2DAD which from memory is a manual EEC.
Any hoses fallen off the intake?
Do a self test.

Pete.

Yep it's a 2DAD, everything looks like it's secured ot the bbm alright.
It idles fine without the ISC on, but when it's plugged in its really bad.

For the moment I'd love to know if the EL ISC is meant to let air through with no voltage going to it. It has a spring that seems to hold it open so I guess thats right?

So you running EL ICS? that maybe your problem they are different EB-ED put the EB one on see if that makes a difference and reset your base idle you shoudn't have to touch that ever.
