I want to run my front speakers off my amp. Yesterday I pulled the passenger door apart, and the kick panels and have no idea how to get the speaker wire through the hole in the car frame. I started threading the wire through the hole with all the other wires but it didnt come out anywhere. How the hell do i get the wire from the doors into the car? The stock speaker wire is bundled up with many other wires and stuck together and can not see where it goes.

easiset way i find it so get ureself a wire coat hanger, unravel and straighten it out, tie the cable to it and use it put the wire through, if you pass it by itself it usually juss finds a groove and rolls into it.

I have no trouble getting it in the door. The problem is from the door into the car. Ive tried wire etc but it doesnt come out anywhere. Plus there is a box thing in the passenger kick panel. I put my arm up there to grab it but it feels blocked off.

i did that the other day. what i had to do was find the hole with a coat hanger. then once i fed the wire to the rubber connecting thing i found that the coat hanger was just to thick. so i got the electrical cable which is in that white triple cable which builders use to run power through walls. i disconnected the rubber sleeve from the door and the car. then with my fingers i pushed the electrical cable through the sleeve. then taped the speaker cable to it and pulled it through. i didn't ues coat hanger for this because it is just to thick to bend quickly in that rubber sleeve.

bit confusing but i hope it helps.

There is absolutly no problem with using the stock speaker wires that run through the door. Most of the time it is easier to run your new wires to the back of the head unit and cut the speaker wires that run to the door that you want to use. At this point you should just connect the wires running from your new amp to the stock wires running to the doors.

This way it is easier to reconnect your old system when you want to get rid of the car.

Just undo the tek screw holding the ECU bracket on and swing it out of the way. It's still a tight fit but you can still get ya hand in there!

I ran fresh cable toi my splits a couple of months ago. From memory, i think the easiest way to do it was run the wire from the speaker up to the grommet that goes through the door sill, then get a coathanger or whatever and run it up behind the noise insulation on the kick panel. You will need to remove the clips holding the cable grommet in to the door and door sill on the car.

Now what you need to do is have a peek in the hole and try to find the coathanger. You should be able to squeeze your fingers in so you can have a feel as well.

It's very fiddly but once you get the technique it's pretty easy

good luck,
Matt
