I wired the Wolf in a semi piggyback fashion to the EECIV as it still runs the auto and smart lock ect and mounted it under the dash away from sight.

I think you may find the Smartlock is now deactivated. I too have wired up my car in piggyback and from looking at the wiring diagrams and what I have read up on the net about the smartlock. The door locks etc will obviously still work but the EECIV I believe cannot now control the injectors. It makes sense that the EECIV DOES NOT pulse the injectors in Smartlock mode but still applies power to the injectors because this would be a simple coding excercise. In case it is the other way around I kept my injector power coming off the EECIV, Ford did do some real stupid/odd things with EECIV I noticed.

I am still yet to check my car because I am too lazy.

Chef do you have the compressor map for your turbo?

When does your car come onto boost?

We have just bought a new turbo from GCG T04 rear .84 stage 5 wheel .. .7 front with 3.5 wheel 800h.p but the good part is it should spool rather low rpm... It's ball bearing and water cooled...Going into an AU engine we are building to go into an EDXR6...

It was nice to see you pulled max torque at the start of your dyno run 660nM @ 60km/hr in 2nd gear (auto) icon_smile.gif

What would it take to push the torque a little higher up?

Dont pay any attention to that dyno readout... the car was running like bollocks then... its HEAPS more drivable and stronger now. I remade the wastegate section which was causing air to exit befor it whent into the turbo!
I'd say it has heaps more torque now... plus Ive tuned it alot better since then.
I'm making up a cold air intake this weekend... have put the battery on the other side of the engin bay and made a air box where the battery used to sit... now I need to cut a big hole in the orig battery tray and feed a 4in pipe from the brake duct of the spoiler to the airbox.

One a negative side, I put a cat into the exhaust and now top end power feels down... might have to bash a 3in pipe through it icon_cool.gif

It only has 19.000 klrs on it.. We'll de-compress it though...Leaving that up to Cylinder Heads Dynamic in Penrith to machine chamber and O ring head...May go all out on spark system though six coil packs or coil on plug?? Triggered through 8860 EMS...

I'd go for full multi coil as oposed to wasted spark... and you've got the crank angle sensor sitting there waiting icon_smile.gif 6 basic bosche coils would do the job well. Do you have to use independant modules or does the EMS have them inbuilt?

Real mixture. EDXR6, AU engine, EF XR6 T5, Yes coil packs are being used...Individual...Either coil on plug or like Gen lll's small sparl plug lead...I'll take pics as well..It will be assembled on bench then hopefully fitted as whole unit...Hopefully NO MORE OIL LEAKS !!!

Chris,

Can you add some details into the doco regarding front and rear wheel sizings. What does it all mean, what effect does bigger/smaller have, etc..

Its something which continues to baffle me icon_smile.gif

Nice thread! Very informative, and packed with the stuff that makes this forum great! Good work.

Very tempting...me opens wallet..... damn. Me looks @ my torana...damn, i need to finish that project off. It's going to be a turbo 6cyl when it's done. icon_biggrin.gif

I hope that by the time the torry is done, if i still have my ford, someone is producing a rising rate lpg regulator for lpg injection. So i can turbo the Eb. icon_biggrin.gif

Cheers
