Did you read yesterdays story on how HSV boss John Creenan was taking a serve at FPV boss David Flint. Crennan was saying FPV does know what sort of performance company it is. Basically John Crennan was trying to say only Performance enhancing V8's is the only true way to go and not to enhance 6's. Flint they are a Ford Peformance company fullstop whether it be V8's or 6's.
I think HSV are running scared that the F6 Typhoon will whip their V8's in too the ground as obviously with an aftermarket factory XR6T you can wind them up to 370KW's. |

Why would holden give a crap about what Ford is doing. The only reason to get up and say something about it is because they dont like it cause its better. Same way labour and liberals work.
Who wants to say that a rival companys (Ford) 6 cylinder engine has more power than most of Holdens HSV V8s. So what do you do? Get up and bash it.
Pure preschool. And then to go on and say for every 10 cars they sell we sell 3. I'll look at it as 10 of their cars equals 3 of Fords.
That Creenan guy seems like an idiot.

HSV isnt the only car company that can make cars.
They are not that greate anyways.
Just because someone has built something that doesnt 8cyls and no HSV badge then it isnt a performance car????
Wake up d**k |

the funny thing was when i read this article the other day Crenna Said " ford dont know wether there into 6's or 8's" funny thing is i remember holden had a hsv superchraged 6 in there range up until the release of the ba falcon when they discovered the standard i6 delivered more power than there hsv enhanced supercharged 6

| Yeah runs high fives and a 14.02 down the quarter (reference motor). With 30 extra kw and 100nm it only manages to better the standard turbo by one tenth in the 400m. With that nice increase in power and torque and also the addition of the six speed, it should have at least dipped into the mid to high 13 sec bracket. |

5.72sec to be exact, that's pretty good for 0-100, but i would also expect a slightly lower time down the 1/4.
the gt isn't doing too bad, 13.85 1/4 |

| I looked the other day and the CarsGuide had 3 good articles on the Typhoon, very nice car for only 58 grand starting price. Supposebly the GT manages to catch up by teh end of the 1/4 mile... |

| For 58 grand i'd rather purchase a brand new xr6 turbo fully optioned and mod it with one of the phase kits. For the difference in price and performance between the typhoon and the xr turbo, the typhoon just doesn't seem worth it. Its a great looking car though. |
