| Can anybody suggest a Mechanic / Repairer in the Preston / Northcote area of Melbourne? - or if there's anybody on here that does heads / head gaskets without wanting me to sell off my unborn child? Seems I can only get the good prices if I go right out into the burbs - My only problem is that I dont want to drive the car cause I think the oil pump might have shat itself as well. Any suggestions would be appreiciated! Thanks in advance! |

| Go and see Damien/Mark or Jay at Northside Fleet in Preston. He is a good mate of mine, and did my head gasket about 4 months ago. From memory, they charge around $600, including everything. Top bunch of blokes there, and they do good work. Tell him Tim (with the white fairlane) sent you, and he should look after you. Phone number is 9484 0432 (i think). |

Cool, did he do an exchange head for you as well? Cause I'm loosing water as well, so I thought I may as well get the exchange head done. I'll definately give him a call - I want to get the car on the road by next weekend, then maybe even I can go for a cruise or two :
