you have to physically add the wire.
i just shoved a wire into the cluster connector and pushed it back in, made sure it wasnt touching other wires and it worked |

well u have to run the wire from the cluster connector, all the way over to the trip computer, which is a fair distance (0.5 metre?) so basically any wire that long, that will fit in the connector (same size as the rest of the wiring in the car)
that is the important wire that gives it all the info. |

Well I am in the middle of putting one into my EF Futura now.
Firstly mine came with a clock where the TC sits. GLi's dnt have this.
We started a few days ago using Xyphoids instructions on the FordMods.com Modification Documents (i\I strongly suggest you check tis doco out. Very helpful)
First we pullede out and disconnected the clock. We then ran speaker wire (DNA .12mm) from Pin 6 (i think) to a fuse under/in the fuse box.
At the moment no digital display showed until we presssed the "Search" button which made it display the Clock setting.
Now we need to run a wire from the Dash CLuster to the back of the TC pin. Getting the dash out has become our latest problem.
I suggest going to Autobarn getting 12m of .12mm speaker wire for $9 (thats what I did at South Tweed Autobarn).
Read Xyphoids instructions and let us know.
Hope all that helps. |

Cool.
I got mine in yesterday, took about an hour with my mate. We were more worried about the dash removal then anything. |
