Im think about painting my dash (The removable bit around all the dials and speedo) to match the colour of my car. The cars colour is Heritage Green. Any ideas on how i should do this and also where to get paint that would closely resemble heritage green.

i'm pretty sure you can get your car colour made up in a spray can from a panelbeater - ask discofrank - i know he did the same thing. also, maybe it might be best to get a 2nd cluster surround from ford to spray, so you dont have the inconvenience of having to pull yours apart more than once, or just in case you stuff it up... i got one for a whopping great $14 - so they aint that expensive!

Do they sell the actually plastic case/cover thing that goes on the cluster seperatly?
Mines got spots on it from some cleaning stuff that obviously wrecked it and now wont wipe off! icon_evil.gif

What you will want to do if using cans is

1) Clean the surface, removing any dust, grease, wax, etc (Soapy water)
2) Use flexi prime or etch primer so as the paint will hold on the plastic.
3) Use colour coat (Some Auto one stores - the ones that mix Automotive paint like 2 pak etc, also sell the mixed paint in cans. It costs something like $40 a smallish can, but then the Paint colour is a 99.9% match)
4) Finnish off with a couple of coats of clear.

Obviously, wait 30 minutes before moving from etch -> Colour -> Clear, so as there are no runs and crap like that.

Hope this helps

Im yet to find out, i think you can as its a very common prob - both of my cars have it, one well worse than the other, but i rather get a new one than swap em over for now.
Gotta hate being a perfectionist and staring at dots you cant clean off every 10sec! GR! icon_evil.gif icon_confused.gif
