pfft. with the shift kit?

and Brad, everyone knows that LPG is better than Petrol (waits for arguement lol)

I reckon the Ghia's gonna bottom the list, Even with the Vortex98.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but on the dyno a shift kit won't make any difference?

Old argument icon_smile.gif

Petrol v Gas

Gas has less specific energy than Petrol for volume, (you need more to get the same energy) But Gas has a higher Octane level.

There are whole threads devoted to Petrol v LPG. Almost as many as Ford v Holden.

how come petrol usually makes more power? is that just from bad tuning?

Yeh, tuning requirements differ greatly between Petrol and LPG. If you were to tune a 4L falcon up for straight LPG use, its power should be comparable to Petrol.

The other thing to take into account is that Petrol has more energy (bang) per Litre than LPG does. But to make up for this, you can raise the compression and advance timing.

Lots of pro's and cons. The (s**t) LPG mixer on my EB has reduced the over-all throttle body size by about 25%. I'll show u @ the dyno day.
