Network Ten will broadcast race one of the 2004 V8 Supercar Series at Eastern Creek from 6.00pm - 7.30pm on Saturday, December 4.
2004 has been a year of firsts for the championship with this being the first time in history that V8 Supercars will be shown prime time and follows on from Network Ten's historic Friday broadcast at this year's Bathurst 1000.
It is likely that reigning V8 Supercar Series Champion Marcos Ambrose (Pirtek Racing) will wrap up the 2004 championship in race one.
Network Ten's general manager, sport, David White said: “we have received strong support for prime time coverage of the race and in the spirit of further growing the sport we will be broadcasting from Eastern Creek immediately following Sports Tonight at 6pm”.
Broadcast details for round 13 of the V8 Supercar Series at Eastern Creek are:
Saturday, December 4:
· 4.00pm - 5.00pm: Top Ten Shootout
· 6.00pm - 7.30pm: Race 1
Sunday, December 5:
· 1.00pm - 5.00pm. Race 2 & 3 |

| How come the Eastern Creek race is so late, there usually in the afternoon arn't they? Or is the Telecast not live and so were seeing it a few hours later just to be in Prime Time? |

for eastern creek, they usually have a race early in the day and at the end of the day (on the sunday), the one being telecast is a special twilight race, which will most likely be the only live race shown over the weekend. |

Over the last few races the majority of top ten finishers have been Fords,
I expect the same on the weekend.

Can someone enlighten me...Heard on the show on CH 10 that Ambrose only has to finish in the top 15 to secure the championship...Is that right??? |
