Standard box with a good panel filter like BMC or K&N IMO.
Also, the panel filters have a bigger surface area, so im guessing that helps out also.

It's all about getting your cold air. The easiest to do is the K&N panel filter and a AU XR scoop.
Then their is the pod, the pod can give you better gains if done properly and gives you s**t gains if done in-correctly. You will have to construct a housing for your pod so that hot air doesn't get to it. Cold air is better icon_razz.gif Id say it isn't worth the trouble as the panel set up will be an improvement and will only take you 15 minutes, oppesed to hours for a proper pod set-up.
Panel filter all the way icon_lol.gif

Sound advice.

I'd only go for a pod if there was something in the way of the airbox. Like an air pump or something icon_wink.gif

Panel filter will be fine. Easy to do, easy to explain to the cops. Spend your hard-earned bikkies on some underdrive pulleys or something.

Maybe think outside the square and find some more ways of getting cold air onto that airbox?

Guys,

Thanks, that is what I though from previous experience and research, However, I thought I would put it open to the forum first incase there was something I had missed.

I will order a K&N or a BMC today.

Cheers

Pod if you can obtain the BA Pod Setup however.. Not worth the money however at the moment - you don't need that much air.

It'l take roughly 15 minutes to fit the XR scoop; match mouth and drill hole and then fit the panel filter. icon_lol.gif

I've found BMC's to be better made and easier to clean last few K&N's I've sold have been poorly made.

I would personally go with the airbox + K&N filter + the AU XR snorkle. Unless you can make your own top noth pod setup then do it,but i wouldnt go there personally as it ends up costing more that way. icon_wink.gif

However after hearing my mates EB XR6 pod filter im now considering getting one lol! icon_rolleyes.gif

Get an EL GT or an AU XR8 one which needs heating with a heat gun to make clearance for the power steering pulley.

Have seen this done on a few eseries V8s now.
