Had a look at a 94 EF V8 ex cop car today.
Took it for a spin around the block and holy s**t I want it.

Its got all the cop stuff like LSD, 2km increments on speedo etc.

Its got 17" mags and pacemakers headers.

Only thing is its an auto which will be converted to manual.

The sound was awesome but the power holy s**t.

Its got a bit of rust on the frame between the front door hinges on drivers side. The only thing is the rust puts me off. But I'll get it treated and removed if I get it.

They want $10k for it. I'll offer $8500. Its got 158,000ks on it.

What do you guys reckon get my 3rd EF, one with 2 extra cylinders? icon_biggrin.gif

I wont be trading the XR6 thats a keeper. I'll look at trading my other EF but I'll probably end up keeping it so I can drive while the 8 gets everything done to her.

You can probably tell I love EFs.

Yeah I was but I sold the Lancer first so no need to sell it. If I buy this V8 I will sell my white EF when the V8 has had some work done; manual conversion, rust removed, engine modified.

Well its probably been 7 or 8 years since the cops had it. Its got 150,000ks on it. I might just take a punt.
I drove it and it went well. We'll see tomorrow. I'll either get it or walk away.

hi guys.. i have a eb xr8 ex wa police car obviously it has been thrashed.
but being a police vehicle it would have been always serviced.
i have had it for 2 years now it gets thrashed every day.
it gets oil changes every 5000 km.it has done 170,000 kms
and it doesnt ratle, blow smoke or leak oil.
i know it hasnt been rebuilt because i know the second owner.
so i say it should be ok....
thats my opinion........ icon_smile.gif icon_smile.gif icon_smile.gif

Well I had another drive of it tonight this time without the little kid excitment running through my veins.

There was a vibration coming through the steering wheel when driving at any speed and the drivers door is a replacement. It has no security sticker on it and it felt like it didnt quite close right.

I've given it a miss icon_cry.gif . It was hard to walk away from so I'm now on the hunt for a V8 EF GLI and must be white.

1: it's a cooler colour in summer
2: it's easily seen at night (dont laugh)
3: it doesnt show up dust, etc as easily as darker colours
