Just thought I'd see what you guys think will be better. I played an x-box 360 in target the other day. Will admit it had slick graphics, but nothing i can't get out of my pc  Personally i'm waiting for the PS3, hopefully it will be a killer console. Anyone know when they're due for release in aus? |

| The PS3 wont be that much better than the XBOX360 in terms of graphics, they are both runiing fairly simular gpu's. But the PS3 will most likely sell better and have more games just for being a PlayStation. Also I dont think your pc would be able to run games like these can, they are both able to run games at 720p and 1080i at 60fps. |

| Specs are nothing, it comes down to the games and how entertaining they are. Personally I seem to end up getting them all (have a PSone, DreamCast, GameCube, Xbox and PS2 slimeline sitting around lol). |

The main thing is that the release titles will not take full advantage of the specs anyway, it normally takes till the third phase of the platfroms life till the applications are working the specs above 50%, a simple fact of life. Both are backwards compatable, playstation having a larger backwards game cache than the xbox is obviously a good thing. The PS3 probably wont be out for xmas so theres still a long wait for it. But the clincher for me is Xbox live, Playstation just doesnt have the network presence that the xbox has.
I've already preordered my 360 through my old work, that'll give me a good year of play till the PS3 comes out anyway. Time to toss the PSP in the bin. And ive tried to stay pretty nutural here but I HATE Sony!!!! God damn they are blood sucking vampiers...... <end rant> |

| Backwards compatiable... Personally I wouldn't buy a new console to play old games... But that's just me and I'm the type that once I've done a game or just got sick of it (usually the case) I don't touch it again. |

it not for that
it for ppl liek u who have the older consoles with games and if you using the new console and want to play an older game for a chnage u can woith out having to bother about switching to another console |

PS3 will be better, cause it's got better games. Simple as that.
Also, I thought that the PS3 is due for a worldwide release in March... |

Not out for xmas  That's crazy im gonna be one annoyed man if it's not out by then. I think the PS3 will be better because they'll have extra R&D after the X Box 360 is released. No matter who says things are already finalised the only reason companies release there consoles later is so they can get the leading edge on technology. The games for playstation have always been what i loved, Gran Turismo4, Devil May Cry3, Metal Gear Solid 3 etc.  |

Nope, if they stick to there world wide launch then maybe late 2006 early 2007, its coming out in japan and US then europe and then AUS.
The PS2 was a disapointment to me, cause of the far too many bugs that I had to deal with, faulty cd drives and the hardware just wasnt anywhere near the xbox, things will change with the PS3, but I think I'll test drive em both before I start tearing one to shreds |

PC all the way .
It will be awhile until the full capabilities of the consoles are used, especially in PS3's case with it's very complex processor. |
