ADSL: The current 'broadband' internet usually in use. speeds usually range between 256kb/s and 1.5Mb/s.

Broadband is just a buzzword for fast internet.

mmm iinet offering speeds of up to 12000kbps icon_smile.gif

12 megabit !! nuts!

Alot of providers now offer broadban2 and 2+.

These tho most ISPs will only do these speeds if u bundle with their phone/VOIP offers.

Broadband 2 will see u to 12MB and 2+ up to 24MB.

Unfortunently dude to it being a new technoolgy and capacity problems at the majority of exchanges as time goes on the telcos undertake bandwith upgrades and install extra line/exchanges and increase port capacity in existing exchanges these new speeds are still hardset 1.5mb links which 'can" acheive up to 12/24MB download....all are 1024K upload which is nice.

I think in the near future these plans will bump up to a flat base speed of 8MB which in itself is impressive.
