On the 22nd of April the Victorian arm of Formods ran its first offical drag day
at Heathcote Raceway.
It was a cool, but dry day, perfect for running your car down the quarter! The
first few runs saw quite a few people getting their feet wet at their first
*legal* drag event, and soon after getting the hang of launching their cars
correctly, jumping in head first.
There were 3 main trophies up for grab - provided by our long serving sponsors
Wade Camshafts, Hightek breaks and RPD Cams - for the N/A I6, N/A V8 and
Forced/NOS catagories. And in addition, three other trophies were made up. Most
Improved, Most Consistant and the much sought after Fordmods Drag s***.
And by the end of the night, the winners were:
RPD Cams N/A I6 Challenge - John_xr6
Wade Camshafts N/A V8 Challenge - evilef
Hightek Brakes Forced/NOS Challenge - dcstraight
Most Consistant - FORDGAL
Most Improved - ZB351
Fordmods Drag s*** - Tied between offyaguts and rushed at 24 runs each
Thankyou to the 38 cars, that came from as far as East Gippsland and Sydney, who
came and made our inaugral Victorian Drag Day a fantastic success.
Congratulations to the winners of the trophies. And once again a big thanks for
Wade Camshafts, Hightek Brakes and RPD Cams for their donation to the
trophy fund.

Nick, is there a consolidated list of who ran what times?
Congrats to the admin guys who put the show together though, sounds like a genuine class event. |

thanx for the great event, i had a ball got a bit carried away with the runs.
i didnt know how many idd done until a freind gave me the stak of slips.
thanx for the "drag s**t" trophy it holds a spot on my top of my computer.
