Guys,

I am now looking into injectors for the ED V8

Std is 19lb / hr isn't it? What colour are they?

Would see a gain in performance if I go to 24lb / hr with the correct MAF set up on a standard cam? What colour are they?

For someting like a crane 2020 / 2030 or similar ... should I consider bigger than standard? If so how much?

Finally. with a 392ci in the pipeline .... should I consider 30lb / hr or maybe 36 lb / hr?

Cheers,

Standard Ford 19lb/hr injectors are orange tops
24lb/hr injectors are blue tops
30lb/hr injectors are red tops
42lb/hr injectors are flouro green tops.
Changing injectors alone on a standard motor won't make you power - but if you upgrade from the HO intake/E7 heads to Explorer/GT40 or better and change cam and exhaust - the 19lb/hr injectors will start maxing out on their duty cycle and lean out (which is why the Sprint's, GT's and later AU's had 24lb/hr injectors)

Me too, although someone has raised doubt in my mind recently.

I've heard a few people refer to them as 21lb/hr. If they were 19, why aren't they orange tops like the V8?

I can only assume the 6's are from Aussie as the V8's have U.S backing...
When flow rates are measured always check the fuel pressure they where tested at , most Ford injectors are run at 38 Lb but other manu at 40 Lb...

I only recently upgraded to 30lb injectors, they look more of a maroon colour than red.

When I was running the 19lb injectors, my car was happily making 185rwkw, but started to lean out when I got the new heads.

If you have big plans for your motor, get bigger injectors, if you are just going to do exhaust, cam and chip, leave the 19's.
