|
|
| I was chasing a Fairlane today which was chasing a biker and I was gaining on him too. It was one of the Fairlanes that went with either the XD or XE in the early eighties. I was then starting to wonder what that range had under the bonnet, whether it was a 302 or a 351. I'm under the impression that 302's were the go for those models, is that correct? |

most ZJ Fairlane's were fitted with 250xflow's & 302c's
the option up on that model 351c with leather seats . electric windows / mirrors and Glass sunroof and lowered suspension ........
But the FC LTD was a fitted with the 351 with all options > above < with the addition of Electric seats and sports dash ..
any other info on this model let me know , i have both Ford-Workshop-manuels on these
Not to mention that i did have a ZJ with all the options ! Ex-Government Limo i found out it was ....

ZJ and ZK were 250, 302 or 351. Due to the recovering fuel crisis most were 250 or 302. All were 3 speed autos. None had 9" diffs.
Today everyone fits 351 to them. They're heavy and need the power move.
All ZL's has 250 with 3 speeds. |
