EF Dash to EB is it possible or won't it fit?

also are the seats just a straight swap over or does it involve drilling new holes etc ? (front and back seats)

thanks

A number of people change the seats and door skins as these are relatively simple (the doors in particular as these items were carried over with little modifcation from EA all the way to EL) but a full dash transplant may be a little more difficult but I wouldn't really know.

EF/EL dash into a EA/EB/ED is possible, easier to replace full wiring loom from donor car as well.

Before the crash there was heaps of posts on it, a few different Ford Modders did this conversion to various models.

Waggin and other Ford modders did a conversion to one of Waggins many Fords (this might be MRE40L car now?), they might have started a doco on it too?

If you don't want to shift the handbrake, you will need to find a six seater dash.

MRE-40L,

Are the dashes all the same in the EF/EL's? I thought the 6 seater might have had the same handbrake setup as the EB. Is the EF/EL setup that you are using similar to what the holden torana/sunbird used to have?

Low na,

All depends if you want a factory look, eh. I think I saw some pics (might have been your car) of what you have done regarding the handbrake.

As for my car (EB with FULL EF/EL interior) I had the EL floor sections put into it so that the handbrake is beside the drivers seat.

This is true. I was thinking about changing the handbrake, but cause of being manual, I didnt want to go the foot brake. Also, to change to the floor mounted type, I would have had to change my seats etc, which wasnt an option at the time. However, I am looking at getting an EB11 shell soon, which will be recieving the same treatment, and ill be doing the handbrake mod, so be prepared for lots of questions:)

LOL! I can see how that could potentially be a problem.

On a more serious note, is it even possible to fit the foot brake to a manual car? I mean, given that column shift manual died nearly 25 years ago I'd imagine that the E series were never designed with it in mind and the foot brake was simply mounted where the clutch pedal would normally go. Is that true?
