|
|
Hey my best mate owns an XD Falcon,
He has done a ground up resto and we put together the 351 clevo ourselfs, Anyways its a 2bolt 351 clevo, bored 30 thou, flat top speed pro pistons,302 closed chamber heads which we ported ourselfs, stage 3 crane hyd cam, redline torker manifold,2inch riser plate,750 dp holley, extractors duel 2.5 exhaust X pipe 1 straight through muffler per bank dropped at the diff, C4 box with 3000rpm converter, 9inch diff with 3.7 ratio.
Anyways hit the dyno yesterday and got tuned and made 284.3 rwhp.
Not bad for a back yard combo and through an auto with a big converter.
Just wanted to tell yous all. |

well it was run at wsid before it was tuned which was 255rwhp, and with full body weight xd ran 13.0 on slicks.
And now it has a fiberglass bonnet+boot, propper suspenion-90/10 shocks and 6cyl springs and 284.3rwhp should be mid-low 12s.....................off the bottle...
Its got a 200hp shot, its a cheater wet system....Thats going to be fun should be low 11s by the moroso calculator!!!
Keep an eye out for it at wsid soon, its painted the new ba blue and has nil-88r number plates. |

| a 750DP feeds that just fine? I was always told that 750 was the minimum to go into mine which will run about the same gear as yours, I was looking at 800-850DP's. Are u running any high volume pumps to support? |

Holley blue fuel pump running from fuel cell in boot.
The carb is a 750dp holley hp series. which is there high performance model, its all polished and has a 4 corner idle circuit.
And it works fine.
Ill let yous know when its going out to wsid. |

Was that a cleveland or windsor???
Cause the biggest cleveland stroker ive heard off due to clearances and the like was around 378
But windsors can go 2 about 422
And 500rwhp is alot of power....... That would equate to 650 or so at the fly! Do you know what was done to the engine? |

That's INSANE!!!, Squeak.
The best time my AU has done down the 1/4, at Willowbank, was 12.9
with my mate behind the wheel (he's a better driver, though I'd never tell him to his face).
Make sure you keep us up to date on new mods and lower times. |

Hey all, my mate ran his XD at wsid last night......
12.7 was his best time only using half throttle off the line then nailing it. As he didnt have slicks and was spinning!
Anyway went really well considering!
Should be 12.5 on slicks not a problem.
Next saving up for slicks then using the 200hp shot of nos....
Aiming for 11.4s!
But yeah just letting every body know!
Not bad for a back yard built engine on a budget!!! |

You can now get 402 strokers for the clevo, i was looking at doing it to mine, but don't really want a grenade motor |
