hey i am installing after market central locking in my EA (don't want smartlock) and cant figure out where place it in the rear doors if anyone has done this can they please let me know where. if there are pictures it would be a great help.

I don't have any photos and I did my EAs about 8 years ago so this is straining my memory.
IIRC I had the rear ones at the bottom rear of the door, where the factory ones are located in the smartlock vehicles. I am pretty sure one of the mounting holes I used was already there for the factory actuators.
Again this is a long time ago but thats what I remember. |

| I did this to my first car (EA S pack). I put the actuator directly underneath the door lock and drilled a hole big enogh in the 45deg section on the door (can't find a better description) and ran a custom made rod to the door lock. The rods in the pack werent long enough. Then i connected the system to a remote immobiliser and presto, remote DIY central locking. |

| we got a kit from Strathfield and installed it in my brother's EA S pack falcon a few years ago, and just wired it up to the boot release, as that always has constant power to it. That was a basic centrasl locking kit, we didn't go as far as a remote though. |

| Drill new holes. my experience with "after market" is that they're tempramental and need a good straight action. |
