this thread was going for a while in fordmods 1 and answered a lot of q's for me so i thoungt i'd better start it up again.

So far the project is going well, the battery is in the boot and the thermos will be in in a week or so, the a/c will be taken out over the next week and then i'm onto the manifolds.

If someone assigns me to some sections (**cough** Matti **cough** Brad) maybe I could help. icon_lol.gif

These might help too.

Links to forced inducted Fords, articles and related sites.
Some of the links need updating, I will do this soon when I have time.

If it looks familiar that is because I had a thread started with that exact post.

I would say that is a bit late. icon_lol.gif

Best to check with QLD DOT.

In QLD 1994 I don't think it was illegal as my XF wagon had the battery in the back under the floor, I don't think they cared about anything bar the fact it was fitted with a V8 (prior rego was NSW)

I've looked on the web for the rules and regs regarding mods but to no avail. i't would be good if someone could put a sticky up relating to all mods. It would be a big post though.

From wat ive heard it has to be vented. If you didnt vent the battery i think it would still be ok and wouldnt overheat

EBXR8380 - wat did you do with yours

Awesome I'd love a a twin turbo XR8, but instead i uinvested the money in paint and stereo.

Still i'd love to go for a drive in one. There is a guy on fordforums who has a 600rwkw odd BA Twin Turbo XR8. Cost him $35k on the motor, but would be the best $85,000 car on the road.

Not sure about who built it. I'm sure if you were to jump onto ford forums there would still be plenty of talk about it.
1000ish rwhp would be difficult to drive on the street, but like all turbo systems you can vary the boost so i assume he can have low boost of say 350rwkw, which would be a tidy daily driver.
