Can someone please help me, i just put another FMX in, with a new torque convertor, new lines, and a new cooler, after the last box, filled with water on a flooded road.
Everything is put back as it come off..... 10 litres of oil, tail shaft fitted, gear lever connected to transmission.
If i pull the hose off the oil cooler, oil hasnt travelled in there at all.!!
I also put a new filter on.
HELP PLEASE

ok, it is possible to fill up when connected to the fly wheel, the fly has a hole in it for the draid plug to slot through. I touched the convertor, it was very hot, as its been running for a while... which tells me there is hot oil in it, but its not pumping in to the lines? hmmmmmm

have you checked the fluid level after running it?if the converter was dry, it might've taken all the fluid in the pan to fill the converter

If none of the ideas posted works for you so far, pull the FMX back out, spin the torque converter, does it feel like it is turning something and located right into the bell housing, sometimes if the torque converter was not located properly before trying to refit the auto, you can break the pump. (not trying to scare you)

And you don't need to refill the torque converter, the drain plug is just that, a drain plug, if the transmission is full of oil the pump will pump oil into it.

The latest.... I drained the oil out of the convertor........... BROWN s**t came out,,,, so then i took th pan off to check the oil i put in it, still red, the filter is fine? The oil isnt going into the convertor. So i putoil in the convertor with a hand pump.. Wheel spin about a inch a minute...
The cooler lines now have a few small drops in it..
Could it be a blockage?

well, we droped the box out..... i read a fmx book with my mate ken, who i meet on this site.... he figured out it was the low pressure pump, which is bolted in the bell housing...,,, The large cog was cracked!!!!! not sure how, but it has something to do with me forceing the bell housing bolts in because it wasnt lined up properly!!! so next time a dowel wont line up... dont force it!!!!
thanks for ya s help!!! icon_lol.gif
