I paid $500 for the fron bar (fitted and unpainted). The rest of the kit is just the EL XR... |

This kit is actually called 'EF GT' and is manufactured by Peter Haines in Ingleburn (cheaper than getting through car mate!)
Mine isn't the best example of that kit (especially that photo) because I removed the grille that's moulded into the bar and I've also got BA GT side skirts (don't bother trying to get those for EF/EL unless you want to pay $$$ for custom modding)
The full kit comes with the tickford style sideskirts and GT style rear bar and wing as shown.
The front bar looks like this:
Note: the brain surgeon who fitted the above GT scoop put it on upside down! |
I love the loom of ur front bar rather than the other one.
I think holden kind of stole the look of that grille cause thats the first thing i thought of. |

Carmate I was told to avoid by 1 bodykit fitter, as their kits are of very poor quality and will cost the purchaser more to get it fitted right.
Just wanted to caution anyone thinking of buying from carmate, I haven't bought from them before though, just passing on a rumour
my awc kit though looks like it will bolt on no problem |

| I've heard the same, apparentely they take no care in protecting items when shipping and don't take responsibility when turning up damaged. |

Sort of... not...
I can't speak for the skirts because mine were custom but the front and rear bars are just hollow 'shells'. They don't have any brackets or mounting points so you have to be a little creative about how to fit them.
I had to do a fair bit of grinding/cutting to get the rear bar to fit on properly. The front bar was a reasonably good fit but again there isn't much to hold it on securely. Check out my 'I looked up her skirt' thread in the exterior mods forums.
PS: Your car is starting to look alot like mine these days! |
