|
|
OK, this isnt another "are EL XR6 injectors better than my GLi ones"
I've been offered a set of injectors from a new XR6T which has just recieved an APS upgrade (bastard )
I've had a search around but havent found the answer but I'm sure someone here will quickly set me straight
Apparently the BA XR6 NA and turbos use the same injectors but the turbo runs a higher pressure reg ?
Will these fit my EF 6 and if so are they any better ?
Cheers |

yes they will fit but running 19 lbs injectors vs 32lbs do you think your car will even idle don't think so
o and by the way standard eec 4 and eec 5 computers can only control up to 26lbs injectors any bigger and it is out side the scope of the programing and computing power of the cpu |

no the turbo ones are different by 5lbs and use a 3 to 3.2 reg where the standard use 2.7 to 2.8 reg and are 24lbs on the ba i think where the ef use a 2.7 reg and 19lbs and a 3.0 reg on the xr's but same 19lbs injectors |

For your information there are many EEC's running much larger injectors than that! Try 160lb/hr for example.
I run 36lb/hr on my 351C. I have set up many EEC equipped vehicles with injectors ranging from 30-52lbs/hr. I have an S-trim blown '95 Lightning to do at the moment that has 42's.
Injector size has nothing to do with the CPU power. Ford EEC's have much more processing power than most people realise.
Cheers,
Pete. |
