I have been reading this topic with much interest.
Im getting the new growler intake for my BF GT-P in the next few weeks so I thought I would have a play with the old filter box and modify it the way you guys have been talking about to see if any change.
Right next to the box, there is an opening that goes through to behind the front spoiler which lets in cold air, so I thought I would cut some slots into the box, but due to the washer refill tube I could only put in 2 widish slots.
Bloody hell what a difference, the throttle response is fantastic and smooth, with awesome acceleration at low revs, and the induction roar sounds bloody marvellous. Will see if fuel economy increases, doubt it cause I love winding it out to hear the induction roar.
Now Im wondering whether to go through the expense of the growler, and keep the original modded box.
Will post some photos when I can get them.
Thanks lads.
Any more simple mods you geniuses know about?????

When I had my EB, I got a 90mm piece of PVC, cut a hole in the very bottom of the box, and cut a hole in the car under the airbox and then ran the pipe down to the front bar with a 90degree end on it for a bit of RAM air. It made quite a noticeable difference, even on the dyno, it went from 130rwkw to 140. |
do u have any pics? |

Good idea mate. Lol this has gone nuts for an airbox mod what is there 6 pages of stuff Just finished mine OMG! such a difference from 4 tiny little holes..... I think im gonna have trubble with the cops now becuz of sound, but thats a nice tradeoff considering my revs r dropping nicely now (they were sticking up b4 majorly) and with the same tyres that i was getting good traction with yesterday spin like hell now on anything
