Hi all,

Before the server drama on Fordmods there was a discussion on the ways each of these two companies go about getting their power out of the Ford 6 engine: for example one company worked on say headwork vs another on the bottom end or something like that.

What the exact answer to this was I can't remember. Or am I wrong and do they both do the same stuff to get the figures they say ? I have sfa mechanical knowledge so any help on this would be appreciated.

none of JMM's kits involve any bottom end work, so from that you could establish that all of their 'claimed' power is made from head work.

It's Performance does a combination of head and bottom end work, usually including a full bottom end rebuild, to ensure that your bottom end is up to the job of pushing the big figures.

I'm the proud owner of a JMM Dev5a kit, plus a very fancy bottom end rebuild from It's Performance in my EF Wagon.

JMM offers bottom end rebuilds for an additional ~$2700.

What kind of power figures are you making waggin and approximatley how much did each of the builds cost. It sounds like a very good and comprehensive package, but best of sounds like it is built to last.
