|
|
| The heater tap in my EB XR8 has a little split in it and pisses out coolant. I bought another one from repco ($65) but it is plastic and the orignial one is metal. Has anyone ever used a plastic heater tap because i don't have much confidence in it and i just want some opinions on how they rate compared to the metal ones. Also, is the metal one still available for purchase?? |

The plastic ones are fine so long as you do not overtighten the hoseclamps.

What he said, im using plastic ones now, no probs..
Just dont go nuts then tightening them as you dont wanna stress/crack the plastic of course.

| for future reference, if you ask for a VS commonhore V6 heater tap it is the same part as our 5 ltr one, but half the price, the only little difference is the vacuum unit sits on a different angle, but the hose will still go on and it works perfect, costs around $20-25 at the most. |
