Hey guys i was advised by the rwc lad to get a new coolant level sensor because i told him it comes on everynow and then cause its boken. The thing i wanna know is how i take it out so i can replace it with a new one, thanks.

badically unplug it and take out teh overflow bottle
and it should unscrew

do you have to drain the coolant tank? mines stuffed too i wanted to take it out and see if i could clean it or somthin.

from what I've heard about these collant sensors, is sometimes the floater inside the tank gets stuck to the wall or something, anyway, a big bang on the over flow tank is meant too do it, if not, the whole round assembly thing unscrews. I don't know how, maybe a 4 headed philips screwdriver or something.. you'll see what I mean. But try just banging on it, see if it helps.

Take it to another RWC place and don't tell them it doesn't work. icon_lol.gif

yer u should drain the coolant tant
it easy to clean get some bicarb soda or washing powder and warm water and shake it all about!!! make sure u rinse it out good and proper!

yea , as said above it should unscrew off the side of the tank and then slide the sensor out , give it a good clean because if its anything like mine it will be full of crap...if that dosent work , head down to the wercker and get a new one!

It will pass a RWC the way it is but he said its a good idea to fix it cause a buyer will think ur dodgy.

IF i unscrew it and take it out will coolant pour out? im guessing so. And where the hell is this float i have never seen a float in there when its full or empty lol.
