| i am having a problem with my starter on the nf2. It accasionally deciedes it wont crank the engine. sometimes if i move it from park to neutral it will work but not always so i am ruleing out the inhibitor switch, sometimes it cranks for a few secs the cuts out them starts again all why i have the key in the start possition. also seems to be worse when its warm. im going to get the starter overhauled but was wondering if anyone else has had this fault to be sure? |

I had a similar problem in my XR8. Would start perfect when cold, and sometimes when it was warm, it wouldnt even crank.
The solonoid to the starter had a spade connector that wasnt crimped together tight enough (it was getting a little loose when warm). Got it crimped nice and hard, and problem fixed!!! |

Heh, mine is doing that today, totally out of the blue. I gave the little wire to the starter solenoid a jiggle and off she goes. Up onto the ramps tomorrow to put a nice new terminal on it!

| Add alittle graphite grease to contacts on connector..Better conductor and keeps water out... |
