| is this a common problem on the i6? the accelerator hangs onto the revs a bit through gear changes. should I go for slightly tighter spring on the accelerator cable have lubed the moving parts etc |

your throttle is not sticking.
the 'hanging' your talking about is in the programing of the ecu.
not alot you can do about it |

Yeh mine does it also. I am not sure what it is either.
Is it like this in all the falcons or just some. Would it be better if i reset the computer? |

| i was finding my throttle was feeling a bit weird not so smooth...... so i pulled of the throttle body, ISC and cleaned them with this throttle body cleaner solvent..... u shoulda seen the black s**t poor outa my throttle body LOL but accelerator feels much smoother now...... |

I hate this awful trait of the 4 litre motor as well, I love having some engine braking and having the engine do what I want it to, not what the ECU thinks some fat big mac eating travelling businessman wants out of a car when he bought it new.
Anyway I'm going to work on fixing the problem, give me a week or two to get some time together and do it. What I plan on doing is a simple circuit that checks revs are above about 1200rpm and the throttle is shut closed, to cut power to the ISC and ensure it's completely closed. Under 1200rpm or if the throttle is in any state other than closed, the ECU will control the ISC in whichever bushpig way it chooses. |

very, very wise! that's what was hapening in my ute, honed it out a bit to give it more adjustment and Bang. All fixed!!!  |
