EL drivers side window switched is f**k.
How I got it back up I unscrewed the switch housing from the console, unplugged it from the main connection, then swapped the wiring around and sweet as pie got the window up but now the questions are as follows? (a)can these window switches can be overhauled/serviced,can individual switches be replaced or does the whole housing need to be replaced?

You will need to replce the whole unit itself; its not possible to change one switch individually.

It is also not possible to service/restore/recondition these units and you may as well buy a new unit, or second hand one in good quality.

Prices ive seen range from 50-200 for s/h to new, altho that was quite a while back, dont quote me. icon_idea.gif

I might try overhauling them on the weekend the same way as I did my EB and hopefully it will be carbon build up or dirt & dust

first of all its not dirt! its a build up of carbon on the contacts. it happens with high current switches, a small spark is made just before and after contact. if left for to long the the carbon gets that bad that the contacts spark even when contact is made resulting in the contacts burning.
